I love the way Bioware handles gender in games. Having one or two characters that you are supposed to hate making stupid sexist remarks is totally fine! The world at large still recognizes that you're human - sexism doesn't surround you, and when it does pop up, it's surmountable. It's not emotionally overwhelming because it never takes control away from the player. You never end up feeling disempowered.
