Duke Nukem Forever should not exist

I wrote this angry rant about Duke Nukem and rape culture over on my blog[…]

It’s pretty amazing that even non-feminist reviewers are all ‘dude, not funny’ over this game. I was expecting it to be offensive in the same way Leisure Suit Larry is offensive - LSL objectifies women but it’s more tiresome and trying-too-hard than anything else; it doesn’t have the palpable hatred of women that DNF has.

Aye, so….I didn’t really want to write a review of DNF because of the blatant misogyny and sexism that was even present in the previews, because the review would just end up with me gibbering incoherently and smashing my hands on the keyboard.

Also, by buying the game I’d be pushing the sales numbers up and making the developers think that “Hey, maybe we did something right with this game” when that is hellishly wrong.
